Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Arcaveli ("we", "us", "the service"), operated by Arcaveli, Inc. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.

1. Service description

Arcaveli is a zero-knowledge proxy for the Anthropic API. We forward your prompts to Anthropic using your own API key, encrypt every response with your RSA public key before storing it, and provide a chat interface and SDK for accessing your encrypted history. We never store your prompts or responses in plaintext.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Arcaveli to:

• Violate any law or regulation, including export control laws.
• Generate content that infringes intellectual property, defames any person, or constitutes harassment.
• Generate child sexual abuse material, content depicting non-consensual sexual acts, or material designed to incite violence.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, probe for vulnerabilities without prior written authorization, or interfere with other customers' use of the service.
• Use the service for the operation of weapons systems, critical infrastructure where failure would imminently endanger life, or as a substitute for licensed medical, legal, or financial advice given to your end users.
• Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially redistribute access to the service without a written agreement.

You must also comply with the Anthropic Usage Policy when using their models through the proxy.

4. Your private key — critical responsibility

When you register, your browser generates an RSA-2048 keypair. The public key is sent to us; the private key is shown to you exactly once and is your sole responsibility.

You expressly acknowledge and agree that:

• Your private key is never transmitted to or stored by Arcaveli.
• If you lose your private key, your existing encrypted conversation history becomes permanently and irrecoverably unreadable. We cannot reset, recover, or regenerate it on your behalf — no employee, court order, or technical procedure can restore access.
• You are solely responsible for backing up your private key. We recommend storing it in a password manager and an encrypted offline copy.
• You may regenerate a new keypair at any time, but the new key cannot decrypt conversations encrypted to your old key.

Arcaveli has no liability for loss of access to encrypted data resulting from a lost or compromised private key.

5. Bring-your-own API key

You must supply your own valid Anthropic API key to use the service. You are responsible for all charges incurred on your Anthropic account, including those generated through the Arcaveli proxy. We do not mark up, resell, or take any portion of your Anthropic spend.

If your Anthropic key becomes invalid or rate-limited, the service will fail closed — no fallback to any other key occurs.

6. Subscription and payment terms

Arcaveli is offered as a monthly subscription. Plans and prices are listed at arcaveli.com/#pricing.

• Subscriptions auto-renew monthly on the calendar day matching your initial signup date.
• You may cancel at any time from the Settings page; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
• Paid plans are non-refundable for partial months. We will issue a pro-rated refund only in the event of a documented service incident causing extended unavailability (more than 8 consecutive hours).
• If a payment fails, we will retry for 7 days. After that, your account is downgraded to read-only access; after 30 days of non-payment, the account may be deleted in accordance with our retention policy.
• We may change pricing with at least 30 days' written notice via email; existing subscribers retain their current rate through the end of the next billing cycle after the notice.

7. Service availability

We target 99.5% monthly uptime as a best-effort commitment. Arcaveli is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind beyond what is expressly stated in a Business Associate Agreement or master services agreement that you may execute separately.

We may perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable advance notice. Unscheduled outages, third-party provider failures (Anthropic, AWS), and force-majeure events are excluded from any uptime calculation.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Settings. Account deletion permanently destroys your account record and encrypted data within 24 hours and cannot be undone.

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you materially breach these Terms, abuse the service, or fail to pay. We will provide notice and a cure period of at least 7 days where reasonable and not legally prohibited.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY SET FORTH HEREIN OR IN A SEPARATE WRITTEN AGREEMENT, ARCAVELI IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OR THAT AI-GENERATED OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR FIT FOR ANY PURPOSE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL ARCAVELI'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS.

NEITHER PARTY WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Arcaveli harmless from any claim, demand, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the service, (c) content you submit through the service, or (d) your violation of any law or third-party right.

12. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and both parties consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
